The Haunted Corn
Maze at Little River Farms
The Gordon Central High
School/Ashworth Middle School FFA Chapters and GCHS Science Club
will be haunting at the Little River Farms Haunted Corn Maze on
Hwy. 136 in Resaca. Little River Farms donates a percentage of
gate sales to GCHS/AMS FFA Chapters and GCHS Science Club to
help students earn money for activities in FFA and the Science
Club. This year we have added many new scenes to the maze. We
challenge you to survive the “Trail of Doom”,
“Haunted Maze” and new this year “Horror Hill.” But BEWARE,
once you make it to the maze at the end of the “Trail of Doom”,
you will not only have to experience the maze but survive the
woods of “Horror Hill” and the return trip along the “Trail of
Doom.” You will encounter some of your most intense characters
from popular horror movies. If you are not up for the scare of
your life don’t come. If you are, be prepared for the most
intense haunted corn maze in Georgia at Little River Farms. The
haunted maze will open the weekend of September 26 & 27 and will
be open each Friday and Saturday night through the month of
October. Haunting begins at dark until 11:00.

Little River
Farms Partners With Local FFA Chapters
Marisa
Poarch of Resaca, owner of Little River Farms, teamed with the
FFA members of Gordon Central High and Sonoraville High to bring
haunted entertainment to hundreds of visitors this past
Halloween season. As part of a cooperative effort, FFA members
from both high schools worked as monsters, goblins, ogres, and
assorted fiends in Little River Farms haunted corn maze.
In exchange, the Poarches
contributed a portion of the proceeds of admission to the Gordon
County FFA Alumni on behalf of the FFA members. In addition, FFA
members were allowed to use the work experience toward their
supervised agriculture experience programs, which allow them to
apply for various awards on the state and national levels. An
FFA spokesperson said the funds from this cooperative effort
would be utilized to defray student expenses to area and state
career development events and conferences throughout the school
year. Officers and members of both FFA chapters expressed their
appreciation to Little River Farms for the opportunity to
participate in this cooperative event. Student members learned
first-hand about agri-tourism and its potential economic effect
on Gordon County and the surrounding area by participating in
this cooperative venture with Little River Farms.
